A memorial for Daniel Carbonaro, a Santa Barbara resident killed near the Mojave Desert while riding an ATV on December 18, will be held Wednesday, December 28, at Elings Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Carbonaro and Chris Rice set out at 2:30 a.m. that morning and never returned. After an extensive search by multi-county search and rescue teams as well as countless volunteers, the two were found on December 22, 400 feet below a cliff they apparently drove off in the middle of the night.
The memorial will take place at Godric Grove, the amphitheater area at the top of the park.
