Woods, who was also acting director of the Center for Black Studies Research, died on July 6.
The celebration will begin with a New Orleans-style “Second Line” procession from Storke Plaza to Corwin Pavilion, where it will continue with guests sharing thoughts, memories, and stories about Woods. The service is co-hosted by the Department of Black Studies and the Center for Black Studies Research.
