On Tuesday evening around 8:05 p.m., a Chevrolet Blazer carrying three passengers careened off Calle Real east of El Sueno Road going 40 mph. The car smashed into a business sign and then a parked Jeep, and continued moving forward, crashing both the Jeep and Chevrolet into the Stop and Shop liquor store.
Cassandra Anderson, the 20-year-old driver, and the back seat passenger, Monique Robles, 33, were transported to the hospital for “various injuries” after the front seat passenger, 24-year-old Isaiah Alexander, tugged hard on the car’s wheel steering the car off the road and into the other car, sign, and store. The car had just driven past their intended destination, an apartment complex. Police are still investigating the crash, but so far it appears that neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the accident.
