Valentine’s Day is a great time to add some love to your home by adopting one of the many homeless animals in our County. Santa Barbara County Animal Services, Companion Animal Placement Assistance (C.A.P.A.), Animal Shelter Assistance Program (A.S.A.P.), K9 Placement Assistance League (K9 PALS), and Bunnies Urgently Needing Shelter (B.U.N.S.) are joining forces to find homes for the hundreds of homeless pets currently housed in the County’s three community shelters. We encourage you to Share the Love by adopting a homeless pet. From February 1st through February 14th the adoption for any animal that has been at the shelter for six months or longer will be reduced by 50%.
Hundreds of wonderful pets have been patiently waiting for their chance at love for over 6 months. Dog’s that have been at the shelter for over 6 months will be reduced to $45, cats will be reduced to $32, and rabbits will be reduced to $12. You can also get two bonded animals for the adoption fee of one animal from February 1st through February 14th.
To wrap up our Share the Love promotion Animal Services will be hosting a Share the Love Adoption Fair at all three Santa Barbara County Animal Service’s Shelters on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 10am until 4pm. Bring the whole family out and discover unconditional love, February 1st through February 14th. Stop by one of our three shelters; the Lompoc Shelter at 1501 W. Central, the Santa Barbara Shelter at 5473 Overpass Rd, or the Santa Maria Animal Center at 548 W. Foster Rd. Your true love is waiting.
