Chipotle is now open in Goleta, at 270 South Storke Road in Storke Plaza (near the K-Mart Shopping Center). They serve daily, from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Chipotle’s new Goleta location will serve naturally raised pork, beef, and chicken from animals raised in a humane way and never given antibiotics or added hormones. Chipotle serves more naturally raised meat than any other restaurant company, sourcing over 75 million pounds this year. In addition, all of the dairy Chipotle serves is made with milk from cows that are never treated with the synthetic hormone rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone), and the restaurant serves an increasing percentage of organically grown beans and locally grown produce.
As part of Chipotle’s locally sourced initiative, the Goleta restaurant will benefit from the company’s relationships with local farmers and its increased commitment to sourcing 50% of at least one of its produce items from small and mid-sized local farms. It’s all part of Chipotle’s vision to serve what founder, chairman, and CEO Steve Ells calls “Food With Integrity,” a pledge that has the company working with like-minded sources to help it serve food that is raised with care, not chemicals.

About Chipotle: Steve Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO, started Chipotle with the idea that food served fast did not have to be a typical fast food experience. Today, Chipotle continues to offer a focused menu of burritos, tacos, burrito bowls (a burrito without the tortilla) and salads made from fresh, high-quality raw ingredients, prepared using classic cooking methods and served in a distinctive atmosphere. Through our vision of Food with Integrity, Chipotle is seeking better food not only from using fresh ingredients, but ingredients that are sustainably grown and naturally raised with respect for the animals, the land, and the farmers who produce the food. Chipotle opened its first restaurant in 1993 and currently operates more than 1,000 restaurants.
