The Goleta Valley Chamber of Commerce will celebrate community this Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Bacara Resort & Spa with the event “Goleta’s Finest,” which honors Goleta’s business leaders. Paul Avolio, founder and president of Latitude 34 Technologies, will be honored as Entrepreneur of the Year.
In 2010, Avolio distinguished himself in the Goleta business community by growing Latitude 34’s client base by 30 percent–including landing several new computer support contracts, and being chosen as the keynote speaker at a National Association of Women Business Owners event. He also was selected for a seat on two local nonprofit boards of directors.
Previous to the Goleta Valley Chamber of Commerce accolade, Mr. Avolio was named to the Pacific Coast Business Times “40 under 40” list in 2009 and was Entrepreneur of the Year for the Santa Barbara Technology and Industry Association in 2008. He also is very active in many community events.
Latitude 34 Technologies is a full-service computer support company, offering support services to small and medium sized companies. Latitude 34 specializes in network support, desktop support and IT consultations as it pertains to budgeting, disaster recovery and organizational efficiency. It is a local business that started in Goleta in 2006 and services customers from Carpinteria through Goleta and remotely all over the world.
