Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi were back in Santa Barbara Superior Court on March 1, and while their appearance was brief, it still provided for one weird moment.

Evi Quaid, following the hearing, displayed, to the crowd of photographers gathered along the wall, what appeared to be a Golden Globe awarded to her husband in 1977 for his portrayal of President Lyndon B. Johnson in LBJ: The Early Years, though she never explained why she did so.

The Quaids face felony charges of bilking the San Ysidro Ranch out of a $10,000 bill after spending a week at the hotel while skirting payment, according to authorities. The payment has since been made, according to reports, but the charges remain. Their attorney, Bob Sanger, told the court the two sides are “trying to resolve this matter.”

The two will be back in court April 12.
