A community forum will be held on Friday, November 20, from 3-4:30 p.m., at the Wake Center’s Thornton Auditorium (300 N. Turnpike Rd.) to discuss the latest developments regarding the future of SBCC’s Continuing Education classes. SBCC President Dr. Andreea Serban and Dr. Ofelia Arellano, vice president of Continuing Education, will discuss the state budget crisis’s affect on course offerings at City College, specifically its Continuing Education program. The forum will be presented as an open dialogue/Q&A session, and Geoff Green, executive director of the Fund for Santa Barbara, will moderate. The event is free; seating is first-come, first-served. More community forums will be scheduled in spring 2010. For more info, call 965-0581 x2307 or email jcgalvan@sbcc.edu.
