Next Friday, October 30, the Contemporary Arts Forum (653 Paseo Nuevo) will host a pumpkin carving contest and wine tasting event as part of epicure.sb. This Sunday, October 25, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art (1130 State St.) reopens the Marlene and Robert Veloz Children’s Gallery as its new Family Resource Center. The space will hold items from the permanent collection, as well as provide crafting stations and interactive games for children and families.

Westmont College’s Theatre Arts Department premieres its production of The Bald Soprano this Thursday, October 22, in Porter Theatre (955 La Paz Rd.) at 8 p.m. The comedy, originally written by Eugne Ionesco, will feature eight student actors in various roles.
