An earthquake with a 3.8 magnitude rattled North County residences early this morning. The small earthquake was centered six miles northwest of Point Conception and nine miles south-southwest of Lompoc, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. There were no reported injuries or damage from the quake, which shook the earth at 4:22 a.m., September 10, though people reported feeling the earthquake in Nevada, more than 500 miles away
