The arraignment of accused murderer Corey Lyons-which had already been rescheduled once-again has been continued, this time to 6/17. Lyons is suspected of having fatally shot his brother, 55-year-old Daniel Lyons, and 48-year-old Barbara Scharton at the couple’s Mesa neighborhood home on 5/4.

A citywide drunk-driving checkpoint operation on 5/30 arrested two individuals for DUI, though three were evaluated for sobriety. Additionally, 13 people were cited for driving without a valid license and 15 vehicles were towed. In all, officers stopped 224 vehicles.
