KIN OF THE CLASSROOM: Cape Cod native and longtime Indy news reporter Ethan Stewart, who wrote this week’s cover story on the evolution of Harding School, is a child of education. His dad’s been a teacher for decades and his mom works at the longest-running charter school in Massachusetts (founded, incidentally, by Stewart’s dad). But it doesn’t stop there: his brother is a teacher, his sister just got her teaching degree, and Stewartwho’s been covering education in Santa Barbara for half a decadewas once a sub for the S.B. School District. So what’s he think of the changes in store for Harding? “It’s pretty cool, no doubt about it,” said Stewart, who thinks that the IB program “really fits into how we learn naturally.”
