Public Access Station Moves to Goleta

Santa Barbara Channels, the public access TV station for southern Santa Barbara County, is moving from its location in downtown Santa Barbara to a larger facility at 7000 Hollister Rd. in Goleta. Executive Director Hap Freund said Channels will occupy the 8,100-square-foot building, formerly the home of Spanish-language KPMR-TV, by the end of April, and will get more space for cheaper rent. He hopes the bigger studio will encourage live-audience shows, and that the proximity to UCSB will result in more youthful programming.
