Swimmers are advised to stay out of the water at many area beaches after Santa Barbara Channelkeeper released the results of its water quality tests. Half of the 16 beaches tested appeared to have higher-than-normal bacteria levels, including Arroyo Burro, Butterfly, East Beach at Mission Creek, East Beach at Sycamore Creek, Hammonds, Hope Ranch, Rincon Beach at Rincon Point, Sands, and Coal Oil Point.
