Although All Hallow’s Eve is still a week away, it’s none too soon to don that costume and celebrate with friends and neighbors. To facilitate this, Postpartum Education for Parents (PEP) is having a family Halloween event Sunday, October 26, from 3-6 p.m., at Rancho La Patera and Stow House. Replacing last year’s children’s parade, the day will feature music by Hot Lava, who specializes in rock music for kids, as well as a raffle; drinks and dessert will be available for purchase. Bring a blanket and picnic for the event and be sure to dress up as a creepy critter or creature of the night. Proceeds benefit PEP, a nonprofit staffed by trained volunteers who help families make the often difficult transition of adding a child to their brood.
