They say that insanity is defined by doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. If this is true, why would we send another tax-and-spend liberal to Sacramento? Hannah-Beth Jackson has a long record of increasing taxes and growing government. If she were to become our next state senator, Democrats would essentially hold a 2/3 majority in the Senate, thereby eliminating the need to negotiate on how much of our money they can take and giving them the ability to override a veto of the governor.
While some things need to be streamlined, the ability take and spend more of our money isn’t one of them. Our country was built on a system of checks and balances and most agree that such a system is best for all of us.
For those of you who are “on the fence” about this crucial race, consider the fact that Tony Strickland will serve as a safeguard against unchecked tax hikes and increased spending. The alternative only leads to a state government with a gas pedal and no brakes. Our state can’t afford more of the failed economic policies that Hannah-Beth Jackson promotes. -James Riske, Simi Valley
