Los Alamos’s newest art space, the C Gallery (466 Bell St.) will celebrate its grand opening this Saturday, August 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. Owner Connie Rohde Stanchfield and Gallery Director Nina Rohde Brown have brought together a collection of unique and contemporary works by established and up-and-coming artists. From Monday, August 4, through Friday, August 8, the Wildling Art Museum will host a week-long painting workshop titled Building a Painting. The classes will take place from 10 a.m. to noon in the museum’s gardens, with an additional off-sight lesson in “plein air” painting. The workshop is $150 for members, $175 for nonmembers. The Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts (PCPA) is looking for girls between the ages of 9 and 14 to take part in their holiday production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 23, in the Severson Theatre at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, Rehearsals begin September 30, and the show will run November 6 through December 21.
