The California Space Authority announced plans this week to open a space centerincluding a business park and a museumnear Vandenberg Air Force Base by 2016. According to CSA, they have collected $206,000 from private and public donors since the plan’s 1998 inception and have created a master plan, a business plan, and an economic impact study. An environmental impact study is pending. Construction could begin as soon as this fall.
