Chef Kate Adamick, food consultant for the Orfalea Fund’s s’Cool Food Initiative, will be appearing on the Rachael Ray Show this Monday, March 24 at 9 a.m. on KCOY TV, Channel 12. Adamick will be discussing Dr. Susan Rubin and Amy Kalafa‘s documentary film, Two Angry Moms, which the s’Cool Food Initiative screened at three public forums in Santa Barbara, all with appearances by the filmmakers.

As part of s’Cool Food Initiative’s goal to educate children and parents on the importance of healthy food choices, Adamick studies the school food programs in Santa Barbara County. The Initiative is trying to introduce “sustainable ‘cook from scratch’ school food service systems” in county schools.

Much in the same way, Two Angry Moms focuses on the trials and tribulations of two mothers battling the monolith of junk cafeteria food. Film director Rubin started Better School Food in her native New York to push school cafeterias to offer more fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and beans.

If you miss the show, you will be able to view the segment on Ray’s Incredible People website after the show airs.
