If doing good makes you tingly, why not do it while enjoying chocolate and fine art? You get a perfect chance to do just that at the Contemporary Arts Forum’s CAF Celebrates Chocolate on February 9. If CAF can be trusted, not only is the food chocolate, but the entertainment is, too. That’s worth looking into just out of curiosity. Then add in silent and live auctions of art, superior wine, and objects of high design, and it’s sure to be a night of arty indulgence. The highlight, based on past editions, will be the superlative wine auction, which in previous years included large- format bottles from names that should set any wine-lover’s heart on Valentine’s fire: Veuve-Clicquot, Lail, Sine Qua Non, L’Aventure, Au Bon Climat, Sanford, Qupe, and many others. All proceeds benefit CAF, so you can have your wine and support art, too.
4•1•1 CAF Celebrates Chocolate: 11th Annual Valentine’s Day Exhibition and Benefit Auction at Contemporary Arts Forum happens in Paseo Nuevo on Saturday, February 9, from 6-9 p.m. The event costs $60. Call 966-5373 x101 or visit sbcaf.org.
