The sinkhole at Shoreline Park has not moved at all, said Santos Escobar, of the City of Santa Barbara Parks Division. “We’re watching it,” he said. “It’s fenced off, and we just want people to be aware of it and be safe. At the moment, there are no plans to repair it-it’s too early in the game.”
He also noted that Parks Division workers have been picking up a lot of palm fronds which were blown down by the strong winds. “There have also been numerous boats to wash up on the beach. I counted six today.”
