Woman Steals DHL Van
A butcher knife-wielding Buellton woman allegedly stole a DHL delivery service van on 12/5 before driving to the CARES mental health facility in the 2000 block of De la Vina Street. The woman, Laura Rojas Alvarado, 47, then allegedly admitted to facility staff that she had stolen the van. After a Sheriff’s Department helicopter spotted the distinctive yellow van parked outside CARES, she was arrested without incident.
