The opening of a Carl’s Jr. franchise in Pago Pago on 12/3 marks the 100th international franchise for the burger chain, a subsidiary of Carpinteria-headquartered CKE Restaurants, whose other major restaurant chain is Hardee’s. Pago Pago is a port village in the U.S. Territory of American Samoa. A CKE press release said the company plans to open 40 more international franchises during this fiscal year.
