Most people think of whorls, those concentric finger patterns usually on the fingertips, as being markings that are only visible in fingerprints. But fingerprints are not the only zones that can help the police catch you in your tricks or nighttime expeditions as a cat burglar.
What does it mean if you have a strong whorl pattern on your mound of the moon, or Mound of Luna? This mound is the triangle opposite the thumb, under the heart line, below your little, or Mercury, finger.
Hold your left hand away from your body with the thumb pointing up. Turn your palm to face your body. That fleshy mound on the bottom of the hand in this position is your Mound of Luna. It runs right up to the crease that shows your heart line – if you have a heart that is.
This mound represents the female; the controller of life as it flows through vegetation or earth. You might call it the flower, fruit, or vegetable force.
Although written up in some palmistry books as a passive force, the personality is formed here. A strong whorl ridge pattern can indicate a highly imaginative person. If your hand sports a whorl on your Lunar Mound, you may have an active imagination which plays a large part in your attitude towards life. For example, you may be living in prison, imagining you are surrounded by the walls of your own personal castle or privately fortified state.
Or, you may be basing a fictional character on someone you date, and become so avidly involved in the intricate execution of the plot details that you haven’t even realized you haven’t actually been out with him or her for weeks. Then, when you call, realizing you need to see the person again to capture a mood or a gesture, that person is no longer interested in seeing you! In short, you’re a day dreamer. Maybe you should avoid going out on a ledge, as you’re apt to fall.
