Steven Crandell Fights to Abolish Nukes
Former Consultant Named Director of Development for Nuclear Age Peace Foundation
Steven Crandell was recently named Director of Development and Public Affairs for the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation. After spending the last two years working as a consultant for local non-profits with his father, Larry – the infamous Mr. Santa Barbara – Crandell is now undertaking the daunting challenge of abolishing nuclear weapons.
In a press release Crandell proudly declared his reasons for accepting this new position, saying, “There are four reasons, and their names are Isaac, Luke, Josette, and Nathaniel. Those are the names of my children. The legacy of peace is the greatest gift we can give our children and grandchildren.“
Steven attended Santa Barbara High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Stanford and his Master’s Degree in creative writing from the University of East Anglia in England. “We hear a lot about sustainability these days,” Crandell stated in a press release. “To me, peace is the single most important precursor to sustainability, and freedom from the ultimate threat, a nuclear attack, is fundamental to our survival as a species.” The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation is of the same mind. This non-profit organization has been working towards the elimination of nuclear weapons since it was founded in 1982.
