Parking tickets in the city of Santa Barbara will likely soon increase by $6 to $41. The proceeds will help pay for neighborhood bike patrols and recreational programs targeting at-risk teens. Increased wedding rental fees at the Cabrillo Pavilion may also figure into a planned $571,000 in additional city revenues, and while Santa Barbara City Council Finance Committee members are anxious to fund gang prevention programs, other influential groups are clamoring for the money as well.
