In light of attacks last week on the draft Santa Ynez Valley
Community Plan, the Board of Supervisors this week decided to
create an ad hoc subcommittee to iron out disagreements before
voting on whether to adopt the plan. Supervisors Brooks Firestone
and Joni Gray, representing the 3rd and 4th districts respectively,
will conduct meetings during the next six weeks, at times and
places yet to be specified. The most vehement opposition to the
plan came from landowners objecting to potential public access
trails across their properties.
