Thanks for the article. Ten of us from Santa Barbara/Goleta have reservations to do the Rim-to-Rim in June of 2008. We'll be starting from the North Rim, staying 2 nights at Phantom Ranch to do a day of hiking down by the river, and hiking up to the South Rim. All of us are in our fifties and sixties. Any words of wisdom for us?
