I had occasion to share a ride with Ray up to one of the lookouts in the Figueroa Mountain area a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the back country, and even more impressed with his comprehensive reporting of the handling of the fire.

Thanks, Ray, for helping someone who thought he had a pretty good idea of what was going on, understand even better.

I feel sorry for you. You so obviously need to get a life.

Why must everything be used as an excuse to make sad, disparaging comments about the News-Press and the employees who are trying to do their job, just like the rest of us?

I don't know Angel, but I ran into him the other day, and he's just a working stiff, not part of the management that you so obviously despise. He's not a scab, and he seems to be writing some pretty good stuff, despite the unpleasant position people like you are putting him in.
