Yet, nothing humans do can stop this current warming cycle that has been going on for 12,000 years. If humans did not exist at all, it would continue and it would undergo its natural fluctuations.
1,000 years ago, the Earth was several degrees WARMER than it is today (where are all the fossil SUVs?). Greenland was farmed by the Vikings. Where was the high water mark then, before that land was once again covered by ice?
This is clearly a scare tactic to get the more foolish among us to support new taxes to pour into Al Gore's "Generation Investment Management Corporation". Look it up on Google.
I, for one, consider it a despicable act for our tax dollars to be wasted on these simpletons' scare tactics. It is THANKS TO GLOBAL WARMING that we can farm the Midwest, build skyscrapers on Manhattan, lounge in London, visit the Louvre i Paris.... and enjoy green, lush vistas.
Carbon Dioxide is, after all, a key nutrient for life on our planet.
