JohnLocke; I went to a shooting range about 30 years ago to get used to the idea of my boyfriend having a gun. The event shook me up completely for a few days.
I agree. We must insist on personal responsibility and accountability. Unfortunately, some of us need law to enforce the requirement.

My mother had a live-in caregiver referred to me by her church
and didn't understand why I suggested embezzlement charges when I confronted her with unauthorized withdrawals from my mother's account. She was "protecting" the safety of mom's ATM card by keeping it in her wallet?
Yikes! They are out there.

I simply can't understand how any judgement can be made after 5 seconds - for any response! Seems very likely that Tudor got a call report that told him of the possibility of a 2nd DUI. So his response was let's go after this guy and slam him?

Gosh, this brings back lost thoughts about how could these things happen. I evacuated for all four 2008-09 fires, but had no damage.
Recently while talking to a potential roommate, she asked how I felt about the fires and I started to cry. This was the first time I understood how much it hurt.
We feel for you and wish you the very best in your journey.
God Bless.

The free world leaders were in agreement after being pushed and prodded because Bush was taking us into war no matter what. After all, they had a great example from Britain and their great leader; Tony Blair.

"Union Thugs"?
Do you know about the University's Santa Barbara pay? FYI UCSB is he one of the lowest paid staff in the system. So brush them off because they are a union? The much more important point here is the thugs that are running the University.
How can you work with people making a million dollars a year
and cutting the pay of people making $ 30K? Can you live in Santa Barbara on $ 30K?
Unions were important in the 40's; then they became bigger than they needed to be. Unfortunately the elite became bigger and they have overpowered the worker.
I would vote against unions if the controlling powers were fair and honest.
Show me an honest governing rule and then we can work together.
