Oh, Starshine ... making me laugh out loud again. This story reminds me, and undoubtedly every honest reader out there, of a similar scene. Visions of my angelic eldest son teaching his preschool pals a new word that he could only have learned from me if he was paying particularly close attention while I watched sports on TV or drove in LA traffic. Caused quite a fracas at the time, but the good news is that, as a college student, he still has a great vocabulary. And he only uses 'that' word for particular emphasis.
