We live South of Patterson, North of Cathedral Oaks and were evacuated about 8:30PM. It wasn't just north of Patterson Ave curve. I think it was north of cathedral oaks from Fairview to corner of Patterson/Cathedral Oaks.

No one seems to have got this right on any new channel.

The emergency guys showed up about 5 mins after the reverse 911 call and now I know what all those hundreds of firefighters/personnel are doing - must have seen about 50 on our way out. Very eerie. I hope our house makes it!! Can't really contemplate having no where to live.

On Patterson Avenue Area Now Under Evacuation Order

Thanks for the news. Just tuned in to the press conference a bit late (KCOY.com) but must have missed the fire chief and only heard the administrators reassurances instead of a progress report. I'm impressed with your coverage. It's more than the incident site too where I can't tell what's changed really.

On Notes on the Gap Fire

Thanks for hanging out with the firefighters last night and writing this article! SB NewsPress doesn't have much and even the fire dept site has no info so far. We live behind Cathedral Oaks, have a great close view of the fire, and are grateful for a bit more news.
