I'm surprised the Dems haven't deified John Edwards for his actions in his personal life yet. They've pretty much just ignored him. Wouldn't those members of the pornography party turn the guy into an icon for cheating on his wife and having a child out of wedlock? I didn't vote for his ticket last time because I could smell the slime oozing off of him. Now that I know what kind of guy he really is I KNOW I wouldn't vote for him. The same goes for Sarah Palin. Her personal life absolutely applies. What if Barack Obama actually HAD all the experience necessary to qualify him for the highest office, but he was a known pedophile? Would you still vote for him because he was qualified? Please.
You want a President who is qualified to run the country. You also want to believe that your President, when faced with a moral or ethical dilemma, is capable of doing the right thing. The content of a candidate's character must be evaluated before you cast your ballot. Slam her if you will (or must), but just know that when you do that you show your true Dem colors, revealing yourself as the finger pointing America-last whiner that characterizes the left wing in this country.

They don't, Bill. They have an agenda, and it's one that lists to the left.
As for Starshine's claims, and those defending her here, well, I'm aware that this is no static thing. I therefore offer you this from Drudge today:
http://www.gallup.com/poll/109219/Gallup...
Since I graduated from the 18th grade I am intellectually equipped to inform you all that this particular poll reports that neither candidate holds sway with "most of the nation."
How bout dem apples?

Hey no_brain, the front page of your gallup link puts the number at 46-42 in favor of Obama. While that does indicate a slight lead by B. Hussein, 46% of anything still doesn't constitute "most of the nation," in fact the last time I checked 46% wasn't even half.
And I didn't even have to go to the 13th grade to figure that one out.
Let me clue you people in: of course whitey is going to tell the pollster in front of him that he likes Obama. To say the opposite one would risk being viewed as a racist, or at least branded as such. But come election day when that same whitey who said he'd like to crush burgers with BHO gets into the booth all by himself with noone watching, my money says he's voting on the white guy.
We'll see!

Congratulations Sunshine. You're a 13th grade journalism teacher and a third rate columnist for a free weekly. Have you achieved all that you ever dreamed?
If only the Indy had the scruples that the NYT so professes to possess we might not have to be subjected to your anti-McCain diatribe. "Most of the nation" dislikes McCain? Got anything to back that up?
You've just won the Stephen Glass I Made It Up Award.

THAT was funny. Thanks for that. My girl is 10 months old, and a ways away from the potty, but I'll keep this column in mind when the wife and I decide that tackling the potty issue is finally necessary.

I smoke, and I am with you. I always dispose of the butts the way I'm supposed to. I liken the people who do not paractice this to the same kind of people who don't pick up after their dog. It's trashy. And hey, don't treat me like a second class citizen because I am choosing to slowly kill myself. I want to quit, and I will.

My sarcasm is at a higher level than you could ever generate, lie_machine. I'm glad you were unable to recognize it. Keep painting me as the hillbilly you think I am. I'm not sure what a troll is, though. Anyone? Because they keep calling me a troll, but I'm pretty sure I am a real person.

Rich: very funny! And hey I'm a righty but the fact that trailer trash who bare their arms with their wife beaters are more inclined to vote for the Republican ticket is not lost on me. Run Ronnie, Run!
Also, since we're in the spelling cop mode, there is no "a" in "sleeveless."
