I agree that it is too bad the smaller dog was killed. However, as the owner of a large dog that I always walk on a leash, I cannot begin to tell you how many times he has been challenged by an off-leash smaller dog. My dog is not and has never been vicious, but keeping him leashed is better than worrying about a child or elderly person getting bumped. It does not mean that he is a problem. It appears as if the smaller dog was causing the problem, and the larger dog went into protect mode.

That was beautiful, so well written, and brings tears to my eyes. Wilma was a wonderful lady and will be missed by all of us.

I am a "Latina" and a single parent, born and raised in SB. However, when I realized that I could not afford SB, I moved to Santa Maria. While it may not be exactly where I wanted to live, I can afford to raise my kids, own a good size home and have some money left over.
I have to agree with some of the above, SB is not a club and if you can't afford the rent, simply put MOVE!! That is all there is to it, move out of SB and have a more affordable life. My house payment is still less than rent for a 3 bd house in SB.

I am so happy to see the eyes are finally open when looking at this coach. It is about time the the public sees him as he is, and that is just like "Yadda" put it. Well said!

805 - how very sad that you actually think this way. Just because you can go to IV, or she "wanted it" does not make this ok. He was an adult working within our schools. He was not in IV, again, he was in our school system, he was an adult, just read that over and over. He showed no common sense, nor was he able to restrain himself. Yes, just her parents being unhappy is enough to press charges and get him away from younger girls. Nice guy or not, he crossed the line between adulthood and teenager. Not right.

"his car came to rest on the lawn... he got out and was angry"
Are you kidding me! He has a serious problem and at the least should have to be re-tested for his driver's license. How old is he anyways? This behavior is a bit too much. These are not the signs of someone thinking clearly.
