Biography: I'm John Callender. I've lived in Carpinteria since 1994. I'm a past member of the boards of directors for Citizens for the Carpinteria Bluffs and the Carpinteria Valley Association; currently I'm a volunteer docent with the Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park and a member of the Carpinteria Planning Commission. Anything I post in a comment on this site should be taken as an expression of my personal views, though, rather than representing any of those other bodies.
