Good. Maybe she can hire James Segall-Gutierrez to defend that one...

Schipper should sue them based on the witness seeing these burglars in the night stealing documents for financial gain and unfair business practice. He certainly saw the results when they all of the sudden showed up at a place they shouldn't have known about. There may be enough there for a preponderance of the evidence court case... Maybe all the companies who lost financially from their CROOKED CRIMINAL behavior should collectively sue the idiot mouth breathing thug morons. I'm tired of these cowards. They won't go on camera to make a case. They don't do anything but irritate people and harass those who "aren't with them." Who do they think they are by strong arming hard working people to "join" them? This is crazy....

foo- I laughed out loud in 2007 when I saw a huge billboard in Tijuana that advertised "First Five California" to everyone in Baja... Who does that? And why?

On Attorney Found in Contempt of Court

Amen motobella... on every succinctly worded sentence of your comment. Unfortunately, from state appointed Judges, to the defense attorney industry, down to the very culture of California's lemming populace, driving is considered a right, not a privilege. Killing, maiming or just getting popped doesn't matter in their eyes. Just take a look at the dispo of each and everyDUI. They all try to figure out a way for the offender to keep a license, whether provisional (so they can drive to work to work to pay thefines). This practice needs to stop. The results of alcohol and judicial indulgence are seen in every single wreck and arrest of drunk drivers. It would require an assembly bill ( an insurmountable venture

50K is better than nothing, but it is a pittance. I'm not surprised, however that other coastal "stakeholders (such a buzzword)" haven't ponied up some donations to help combat the pollution caused by spilled fuel from theses invasive landings. Why aren't these people saying or doing anything about this phenomenon? The Coastal Commission, GOO, CA Leaugue of Conservation Voters, etc. haven't uttered a peep or given money to combat the shorline and island pollution from these smugglers. What, do they believe that when they camp in our forests or on our islands they actually clean up after themselves? Heck, I'll bet they haven't even bothered to buy an Adventure Pass...

Uh....Randall? You say you are involved? I haven't seen where you said he didn't steal the laptop, and I haven't seen where you said it wasn't in his home, and I haven't seen where you say he didn't post it for sale. Why not? All I see is you trying to divert attention. Smoke and mirrors 100%. Just sayin'.

Other than the first part of your story, it is a good column. Nothing would irritate me more than to be in an airport bar and have some stranger interrogate me about my intentions while trying to relax with a drink. Were they dressed in pilot uniforms? If not, why ask such a sarcastic question?
