If true that she pulled a fast one, it sure will be a black eye to General Aviation. I too, was taken advantage of by a flight school and FBO operator. To the tune of $30G. It was a sad reality to know that someone I trusted with my instruction and investment into an aircraft would do something like that. I thought all pilots were honorable, but that makes two in this county alone who are not so.

"You can bet" it would be a felony if injuries occur, but since no injuries "you can bet" it's a misdemeanor.... in all first time cases; cop or no cop...

OK, what gives here? The arrest was March 7. The charge was filed April 7. It is now May 6 and you are just now reporting this?

Pretty stiff, I agree. I just wish the courts would do the same to DUI offenders...Take away their "privilege" to operate a motor vehicle. Maybe the Capps aide wouldn't have killed that poor girl...and so many others that re-offend with a reissued DL.
