I love how Wendy always tries to deflect everything to the Union. It's like -- if it wasn't for that pesky Union -- all those 60+ people who quit or have been fired would think she's doing a heck-of-a-job. She should just hire a bunch of monkeys who will do her bidding without question. She hates people (and loves animals) anyway.

It just amazes me that -- with all the scientists and all the proof -- people still call global warming a hoax. You can't say climate change is a hoax just because you want it to be.
And your "trees love CO2" comment shows your lack of understanding for this important subject. The issue is not that CO2 is bad; the issue is that "too much" CO2 is bad.

Nice column, Starshine. I think you've started a great family tradition. If you can't find anyone next year, please stop by. I like cider and brownies ... a lot :)

I saw this Ecko guy on The Today Show recently. He's really funny.

Sure, I'd be happy to. The answer to your question is, no, there was no bias in their reporting.
And you don't have to take my word for it. Just go back and read all the news entries, testimonies, blogs, etc. on this topic, and you will see that the News-Press has been completely unwilling and unable to show exactly where any bias occurred. They SAY bias a lot but don't ever PROVE bias.
The only time I know of where Wendy actually gave an example of bias was Anna Davison's story about the construction on lower state street. According to Wendy, that was biased because she quoted the mayor too many times, and according to Wendy, "We don't quote the mayor." See, Wendy doesn't like the mayor, so quoting her is biased.
Now, if you want me to give examples of how Wendy and Travis are biased, I'd be happy to do that as well.

The sad thing is that -- if these were adults -- they'd probably start a war and kill each other by the end of the 40 days.

Steepleton is not some innocent "professional" caught in the middle of a no-win situation. He chose to side with the Wendy-Travis-Nipper axis of evil, and he's played his part. Trust me, I know. If he becomes the scapegoat, I say good riddance.

Thanks for the great column. If we all flim a jib-jab now and then, we'll be on our way to energy independence.
