BioBlitz was everything I imagined. What a treasure the Garden is to our community and my neighborhood. My children were so excited - they are looking and talking about bugs and flowers all day now. No better way to create environmentalist than to experience nature first hand. I listened to the Friends of Mission Canyon and looked at the poles and asked a lot of questions (must admit I did not make people happy) and wow there is nothing to these plans. The Garden is like 80 acres - so like 160 residential lots and they are putting something less than 200 - 300 square feet per half acre lot but all put together in one area - looks fine to me.
Where would kids or adults have the opportunity to do what we can do at the Garden - they are great and inspire my kids and me to learn more.
And what would we have instead - more big ego homes on the ridge lines instead of green space we all get to hike and use.
Sorry so called Friends of Mission Canyon - you're not.
