Georgy, the Indy search engine can direct you to stories about specific candidates and their positions.

I find it curious that Wendy McCaw's newspaper has barely reported on Randall Van Wolfswinkel's extensive efforts to get his slate elected and has let Travis Armstrong fawn all over him as Santa Barbara's "savior" who is being vilified by the other media. And the News-Press is endorsing two on Van Wolfswinkel's slate: Dale Francisco and Frank Hotchkiss. I wonder if McCaw is expecting a payback.

I encourage the dog owners who annually pay $90 for use of the park to look at Page 40 of Elings Park Phase III Initial Study. The park is considering adding a 2.5-acre fenced dog walk; restricting dogs to that area during busy periods; and increasing the number of dog memberships from 550 to 700. The study is available at www.elingspark.org as part of the Draft Environmental Impact Report.

Shouldn't the secondary headline say "Great tasting instant" instead of "decaf"?
And yes, coffee is really that important.

Nick, you're not the only one unable to reach Randall Van Wolfswinkel. Preserve Our Santa Barbara, his Web site, featured a blog. Viewers, presumably voters, left comments and questions. No one responded and the blog has since been taken down.

What in heck is a Californio? The writer doesn't explain.

Pretty quick resolution to this case. Did the defendant's attorney advise him to plead no contest? What's happening with the cases in San Luis Obispo and Riverside counties?

Hey Macerich, take a look across the street. Here's a shopping center whose stores are "perfectly matched to the interests" of their community. From morning until closing, Five Points is always crowded. I wish Sears would pack up and join K-mart in Goleta (same company), and Target would move into the Sears space at La Cumbre. That would bring shoppers back.

In reading this article, it appears that there was just one adult supervising 10 young children at the beach. That doesn't seem adequate supervision to me.
