Loon religion has caused far more wars and deaths than any government. While I agree with you that government is far too big in this country I do believe illegal immigration needs to be addressed.

Holly I am not certain where you read that I condone the behavior or that I believed anyone would deserve what happened. I merely stated there are extenuating circumstances that were left out of the article. By the way NOONE has ever been charged with Lewd and Lacivious acts on a child under the age of 14 for peeing in a bush but nice try. And (GASP) homeless? I do not feel bad because someone is homeless when they have obviously made choices in their life to prey upon a child. I also do not think any human should be beat to the point he was either. If these boys did what they are being accused of and it was not self defense they deserve what they get. I have not seen evidence to prove that or disprove it so I will have to wait and see. I refuse to believe they are guilty just because the Sherriff's Department says so.

Also Boden was a registered sex offender and transient to the area. Perhaps he tried something and the reaction from these boys was more than he bargained for. I find it hard to believe Boden was spontaneously attacked when his past shows he is a predator. Best to reserve final judgement until all the information is presented.

Blah I am a relative of Jonathan and he is not an anchor baby. He isn't in a gang either. I don't have the facts of the case so I don't know if he did anything. I suppose I will have to wait for the evidence to be presented. You can continue spouting incorrect assumptions as facts if that is what makes you feel better about yourself.

sbreader:"I don't know if Barney is responsible for the headline as opposed to the text, but the NBC article is contrary to the headline. For the first time in my reading, and I have tried to keep up on this matter, the New York Attorney General supports the bequeath to the local art museum. That is great news. I just wish we could have found funding to retain a lawyer to advocate for our interests. Hopefully the Attorney General stays firm. I expect we would be the easy pawn to give away without an advocate in the room."
And I am the "nut case" since when did "we" have any right to anything in this will? Apparently we have found a possible member of the SB foundation that formed itself without regard for what Huhuette actually wanted. If not a member a suporter that thinks that just because this property is located in Santa Barbara they have some right over it. She didn't give it to Santa Barbara she left instructions for a non-corrupt foundation to be formed to run it as an art museum. I hope these people do not get their hands on this property. We have all seen how well they have taken care of the last Clark "gift" to this city. Bird Refuge anyone?

Bimboteskie there are two foundations. One that was set up in Santa Barbara and one that was set up by the courts in New York. The Santa Barbara foundation is the one that does not like the agreement.

I don't even understand what this individual is trying to get across in this rant. All I took away was that I do not want this person to speak on my behalf in any way, shape, or form.

Why in the world does the group led by Sheila Lodge believe they have any right to hold this up? News flash Huguette didn't leave anything to Santa Barbara, its residents, or its local government. Don't these people have anything better to do than insert themselves into something that has absolutely nothing to do with them?

I've noticed a disturbing trend in billclausen's posts. Why is it you feel the need to paint those who would cause harm to others as victims? Or say the transients who bully and harass innocent people are victims? I have been poor my entire life, have even lived in my car at one point. During all that time I never once violently attacked anyone else nor did I harass others for a hand out. I now have a pretty good job and pay my own way but don't have a whole lot of extra money floating around. These people are not victims and it is disgusting to paint them as such. This individual made the concious choice to walk up to another human being and stab him. Honestly I don't care if he is right in the head or not jail is exactly where he should be.

I would have to agree that her character has been compromised. I do wonder why the employees believe they can force her into a union contract however. This is an at will employment state and she doesn't have to hire union employees or enter into contracts if she doesn't want to. I know it is horrible to lose your job and the way she went about it was tasteless. I will never purchase a SBNP paper, that doesn't mean I think the union should be able to come in and force its rules and policies on private businesses.
