Death by train used to be quite common in America until the advent of trhe automobile as the prevalent form of transportaion. Train wrecks were common.
I wish the same degree of synpathy were being shown the students injured by falling off the cliffs in IV.
There've been many pub;ic relations campaigns about train safety. You can fault their effectiveness on the campaigns or the general naivete of people to be be kind.

Rape, which happens to both women AND men is a reprehensible crime. But politicians looking to bolster their resumes won't stop it with nanny state legislation. The problem is cultural and as long as sex is commodified to the ever increasing levels it is today, it won't go away no matter what laws are passed.
