The Museum has not fully faced up to the reality that its larger Master Plan, as extolled by Dr Hutterer and developed and drawn by its Seattle architect over the past 5 years, is fatally expensive. And this in the face of the present "fiscal cliff" and staggering debt and deficit nationally, in California, in Santa Barbara County and City; let alone huge financial uncertainty over the next decades. For sure, our governments are going to raise taxes which will only hurt charitable giving to the Museum.
