Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Megan first started work at The Independent when she was 18 years old in 1998, back when waxing and trimming was the norm and the camera room was still in operation. In 2001, she took a couple years off in order to finish college to receive her B.S. in biology/physiology. Although becoming s veterinarian was a life-long dream of hers, and after spending a couple years as a veterinarian technician, she began to miss the fast-paced, fun environment, and especially the people of The Independent, and returned. Soon after her that, she became the Production Manager, and loves the job, the people she works with, and is proud of the product she helps to put out every week. Megan plans on staying for many years to come. She considers her co-workers family, second only to her husband Hunter, her beloved parents, sisters, mother- and brother-in-law, and!last but hardly least, her dog, "Sid".
