Food blogs have been dishing up Santa Barbara food news and reviews for a while now. They’re not as well known as food sections of newspapers and they might not all be local, but they’ve been sharing our “flavor” and tantalizing taste buds on a worldwide scale. A Google search brings up a few blog entries. Oishiieats (oishiieats.blogspot.com) from the Los Angeles area succumbed to the lure of the late Julia Child’s favorite haunt, La Super-Rica Taqueria. Her diary entry provides detailed descriptions and photos of her “tacos de tour.” Jalapeño Girl (jalapeno.typepad.com/my_weblog) escaped San Francisco and let out hot and spicy words on the “dogs” of Lettuce B. Frank. Not the Eternal Tao (nottheeternaltao.blogspot.com) is an area chocolate croissant fanatic and rates Tuttini’s as “pretty much perfect” and lounging leisurely in Santa Barbara on Sundays as “glamorous.” The next time you have a hankering for food and don’t have the money, time, or companion to venture out to a restaurant, cyber surf some food blogs and get virtual vittles served up fresh. Comments are always welcomed on the blogs, and tips are not required
