Man Arrested in Sunday Stabbing

I hope all of you hypocrites are f*cking happy now that a WHITE man stabbed someone. All these people who come on here running their mouths about mexicanos stabbing people and this and that, are you all finally content that one of YOUR own finally did it? What do you guys have to say about this now? OR wait, is it OK that this white man did it, I'm sure everyone will have an exucse for the white man who did this stabbing and I'm sure he will be let out of jail but the mexicanos won't. I'm sick of all these racist people who come on here talking down and bad towards mexicans but yet now that one of their own has done it, I'm sure every excuse in the world will come to mind and in one way or another, it will be ok. But if this incident would have been a mexican, everyone would be posting comments on here left and right talking smack about the mexican. So stick that in your juice boxes and suck it. Thanks for listening.

Yeah but who gives, there are people all over the WORLD who are NOT mexican that stab people, what of it? I do think it's sad myself that mexicans are fighting mexicans and this non sense keeps happening and I defintly can't stop it but all these people come on here such as yourself, talking smack about people, especially mexicans but when it's one of your own, it's OK. You people make NO sense at all. If there weren't mexicans, white people would have SH*T, literally. It's a color for God's sake and you people judge people based on where they come from, what color their skin is and who they are. You people have NO idea. You're judgemental and you shouldn't be. I don't think the profanity is necessary, and nobody is making excuses for the accused just because he is white. Violent crime is abhorrent regardless of the perpretrator.

Personally, I think white and non-white criminals should be prosecuted equally. Similarly gang activity should not be tolerated whether it be engaged in by white or Latino supremacists.

As for "racism", my only response is "Por la Raza todo, fuera la Raza nada." Look it up on any MEChA website under Plan Espiritual de Aztlan. And if you think that invoking "Aztlan" is racist, guess what the "A" in MEChA stands for.

I think, however, I will take mild offense at the use of "YOUR" own, and "YOU" people. Let's be clear: this site appears to be color blind, (but I have seen a number of racists).

Second point, or rather the non-point, made in the hit & run by "ty": a source for your 15 to 1 comment would be great.

That is, are you saying 15 times as many Hispanics have stabbed others in the past two years, or been victims, or what? The only source would be hospital records, or arrest records, and you ain't got either.

Citing news coverage would be a fallacious foundation upon which to build any proposition.

Unfortunately MOST of the stabbings in our area are done by gang members who are predominently hispanic. It's not about racist remarks, it is about the statistical evidence.

I imagine that many of us are glad that this was not the typical garden variety gang stabbing! I'm not happy it happened and hate to hear about people hurting one another in any way, shape or form, regardless of what nationality they are. It is sad!

Here's my guess: A homeowner confronted a gang member tagging his property, things escalated, and the homeowner stabbed the gang member, either in self-defense or as a vigilante action.

My esteemed colleague "Kratatoa" posits a very likely scenario, if you take out the difficult to prove and pejorative "gang member." That is:

By the way, I should have also mentioned that Japan--which clearly is not a "white" country, also gets by without exploiting cheap immigrant labor.

What irritates me is when commentators automatically assume that brown skinned or Hispanic surname means illegal, Mexican or both. I am American plain and simple not Mex-American, just American, brown skinned and with a Hispanic surname. America is not just a white nation; that's been the way for years and that will never change. White people will always hate someone, even if all the "foreigners" disappeared they would find someone to hate, starting in colonial days with the Black Slaves and then the Germans,Irish,Italians,Native Americans, Chinese, Jewish People, Blacks, and now Hispanics. Sooner or later Hispanics will assimilate enough and they will need to find someone else to hate. Circle of Life, I mean hate.

The "talkin down" applies to criminals of all kinds, including border crossers and white stabbers. Nobody is saying brown skinned or hispanic means illegal. Stop trying to make it a race issue and making people out to be racists who aren't just because most of the criminals are hispanic. You are the ones making the association. Nobody has ever had any problem with hispanics who are legal and obey the law.

If you can, AShaw, forgive my overly-succinct pronouncement regarding the zinger above, and allow me to expand my thought:

A quick scan of the news would reveal statistics, but I believe they would be incomplete. That is, unless you could gain a report of all the stabbings within a certain time period, any declarations would be without merit.

I feel certain you would agree, AShaw, that without those unimpeachable results, a dependence on what the press says would be unreliable, for in fact they may suffer from possible prejudices.

I will stick my neck out here and boldly declare that without accurate data with which to compare the Press could equally under-report or over-report, turning apparent facts into mere anecdote.

Again, excuse my brashness.

And I wouldn't want to be anything but scrupulously fair about this matter because I'd just be an ignorant, bellicose, blowhard.

So binky are you trying to subliminally inject the idea that the media is under-reporting the number of white gang members, parole violators, stabbers, murderers in Santa Barbara and so it just SEEMS that nearly all of these crimes are being committed by hispanics? What is your point if that isn't it? Just come out and say it don't try to cloud the issue. I am quite sure that the legal status is NOT reported why? Because it never is. If you are making a premise that white crime is under-reported back it up, don't just propose a theory which I would say is laughable. If it is true that white crime is not reported I would be the first one wanting an investigation, just like I propose one if illegal immigration status is under-reported, as it obviously is (meaning not at all).

And a little question for mexicana1986 - are you Mexican or are you American? Who do you claim? If you love Mexico so much, why don't you go live there? At least BrownAmerican knows what country she lives in. Nobody has any issue with brown Americans. But if you think you are a Mexican, or would rather be and want to live here I say go home. Don't try to move the borders.

Are you going to tell us with a straight face that just as many anglos in this town are responsible for the countless stabbings as the hispanic population is? My guess is the man was sick of constant verbal assaults, tagging, or maybe even dope dealing in front of his home. Whether he owns it or not, he has every right to defend it AND himself.

This is ALWAYS the way it is with these type of stories and that's why I'm angry, with this type of attitude towards brown people, I'm not Illegal or Mexican get over it.

I don't want to live with wound-up, drugged-out, bad boys, either, of any race.

I am not now, nor have I ever been a policeman in this city or any other, but I am a criminal investigator involved with investigating these homicides.

All of us would be well served if calm, clear views of this admitted problem were maintained. My experience with the S. B. P. D. has shown the gang enforcers are unusually intelligent, hard working, and effective. This is a big problem. They cannot do it alone. Nor can city government.

Gangs are family. Violence is pathological.

Do what you can to solve the growing problem, keep an eye open, cooperate with the police, and treat others with respect.

That's my suggestion.

Hey I dont' care if their last name is Smith I want their immigration status checked! Just because they have a hispanic last name is no reason to harbor and protect and ignore them and excuse them from immigration law!

It's not my fault that most illegal immigrants come from the nearest border and happen to have hispanic last names!

How about a blanket policy to check immigration status of anyone detained regardless of last name! Fine with me! I would be happy to have mine checked if I am given a traffic ticket by the metermaid!
