This is a foolish poll. Please stop conflating the Vital Mission Plan with the management problems at the Garden. You do a disservice to the Garden. Very bad journalism.

Goodness, I agree with OwenDell. I am aware that many support the VMP but not management. And Schneider was offered one of the best jobs in his field. Poll makes no sense.

Whether Schneider is in charge or not has no bearing on the Vital Mission Plan. The Plan's focus is to increase the Garden's accessibility and scientific resources. The Garden will always look to be 1% open space and a great resource to our community. I wish Ed Schneider luck in this new chapter in his life. It sounds like a great new job.

Excuse me. I would like to correct what I said....I mean the facilities will remain 99% OPEN SPACE. The educational and scientific facilities will only be 1% of the total Garden. Please excuse my mistake. Thank you

This poll is ridiculous. Results from polls like this are what causes a skewed view of reality. I can see it now "92% of Santa Barbara community members are against the VMP". I'm sorry, but 182 votes is not representative in any way.

I don't need an anonymous poll to explain how I feel about this plan, particularly because none of those options would suffice. I think that how one feels about the management of the SBBG versus its need to rebuild do not need to coincide. Regardless of who is in charge of the SBBG the VMP is necessary!
