The Pollock Theater is dedicated to year-round programming of a diverse array of films and filmmakers from across the country and the world. A classroom by day and a public theater at night, the theater is a place in which students and community come together. The theater and its film programming give students and citizens an opportunity to engage with world affairs by viewing and discussing the rich offerings of an international moving-image culture.
Hours of Operation
The Theater, a beautifully designed venue seating 300 people, is the realization of Joseph Pollock’s goal of having a public film theater on campus to enhance teaching and public viewing of new and archival films. The Theater will provide space for year-round programming, serving as a classroom by day and a public theater at night. It is equipped to show 16MM, 35MM, and most digital media. An extraordinary resource for UC Santa Barbara and the community, it is capable of providing facilities and support for screenings, conferences, and events.
Pollock Theater Administrative offices will be open Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM. For evening and weekend special events and screenings, the theater and box office will open one hour before the event start time and close thirty minutes after the end of the event or screening.
