David Andrew Jenkins

1977 - 2008, Goleta

In loving memory of our beloved Son, Husband, Father, Brother, Friend. Passed away at age of 31 on November 7th, 2008. Born in Goleta Ca. August 20, 1977 to Catalina and David K. Jenkins, he is survived by his parents, his love Brenda and son Angel, his sisters Elisabeth, Danielle, brother Jordan, brother-in-law Jamie and niece Catalina, nephew Gabriel. David was a native of Santa Barbara, attended local school, his senior year at San Marcos he met his love Brenda. And together they had a beautiful baby boy Angel. David loved spending time with his love and son... He loved being with family and friend, David knew what life was about. He knew that every day was gift, and lived every one like it was his last.

David had a heart of gold, a gentle soul and filled every person with love and laughter. His quick wit and constant joking were his trademarks. He was that one person in the room that everyone liked. He had a magnetic personality that you could not help but cling too. He embodied life as it is a journey. His journey here on earth was too brief, but now he continues in the sky above.

As a child, he was hungry for adventure. Around every corner there was something new to be seen, experienced, and learned. As he grew into a man, his hunger for adventure turned into a passion for life. Living it, loving it, and making it count. He had such a passion for so many different things: dirt bike riding with his son, surfing, swimming, working with his hands, music, playing the guitar, skate boarding, and loved spending time with his niece and nephew; who will always remember their funny, loving and ever generous Tio. He loved Santa Barbara, he loved to go to the beach any chance he could get. When he was there it was like time ceased to exist. Nothing mattered but the sun, waves, and the people he was with.

David untimely death is much mourned by his Family and Friends for everywhere we go we can see all love he left behind. We love you, David. Until we meet again.

“Memories are a way of keeping the past alive. Some are so painful we never want to visit them again, but a memory can also be gift, something that we can open again and again in order to fill ourselves with happiness.” -Anonymous
