Representative, Lois Capps, some questions as to your seeking a ninth term: As a member of the constitutional body that approves and controls spending and debt, what efforts have you made or proposed to stop deficit spending? Our growing National Debt, now $17.865 trillion, is a debt imposed on us, our children, and grandchildren, and future generations. You understand that we are the greatest debtor nation in history?

Respecting the growing Unfunded Mandates imposed by Congress, (Social Security $15.110 trillion, Medicare $80.010 trillion, Prescription Drugs $20.101 trillion, total $115.221 trillion), specifically, how are they going to be protected, saved, and paid for? Did you actually read the 2,200-plus-page Affordable Care Act prior to voting for it? Have you read its 25,000-plus pages of regulations? Do you understand the act’s negative results to our nation’s health-care system, respecting costs, affordability, accessibility, quality of care? Are you aware that the unemployed work participation rate, 62.7 percent, is at its lowest level in 30 years and that a record 44.4 million citizens are living in poverty? And 46.3 million are receiving food stamps, and Middle Class Family Income is at 1997 purchase value levels.

What specifically are your plans for increasing economic growth and high paying, full-time employment, with real benefits, for both men and women? Our youth, with their record high unemployment rates, especially college students, have student loan debt that exceeds $1.3 trillion. Why after 16 years are you seeking a ninth term? “Are you the person for us”?
